Generative Intrapersonal Dialogue ©
by Jan Somers

Thinking into oneself is not always generative. It evokes in many times a paralysing effect when the person self is wrestling with issues that come up on the path of life.
One can make an effort to change the effect of intrapersonal dialogues into a generative effect. How?

By being more assertive to yourself!
How?

Try these 4 steps by filling in your dots:

Step 1: I notice that .................  (Note the facts/ issue that troubles you at the moment.)

Step 2: This makes me feel ....... (Note what feelings these facts/ issue you sense about this.)

Step 3: My needs on this are ..... ( Note what your emotional or result needs are on this topic.)

Step 4: I suggest myself doing .... (Note what your next small step will be to fulfill your needs.)

I would suggest you take one piece of paper for every issue that is troubling you at this moment. But start with one !
